It is set in a fictional universe inhabited by various characters capable of using supernatural powers by channeling the wavelengths of their souls. Most of the characters in the series, including the main protagonists, are classified into two groups: humans who are born with the power to turn into weapons, called demon weapons, and the wielders of these weapons, called meisters. DWMA is run by Shinigami , also known as Death , the Grim Reaper, as a training facility for weapons and meisters to hone their powers, as well as an organization to preserve world order against anyone who threatens it, including witches , monsters and evil demons called kishin. The spin-off prequel manga titled Soul Eater Not!
Kid also has a great sense of morality and order, having expressed to the Flying Dutchman that despite being a god, he doesn't deny evil and that there's no one person without some evil within them. However, he believes that everything is about balance instead and strives to keep the balance between "good" and "evil" in equilibrium. He's quick to question his own father's actions when he had the DWMA storm into Baghdad when searching for Asura and explained that it's wrong to impose their will on others, though was understanding and sympathetic of his father when he realized that due to the threat of Asura, his father doesn't have the luxury of "playing it safe" and may be reckless in his decisions. Like his father, he also has a fierce and much darker side in his personality. While normally calm and collective, Kid is still susceptible to being angered, such as when Mosquito insulted his father  and when Noah's Group announced their plan to assassinate Maka Albarn , he showed a considerable amount of anger.
Grew Up Run by Death himself, the Academy is specialized school that teaches weapon meisters and their weapons how to defend the world from evil. Like his father, Kid will one day wield Death Weapons to defend the world from great and powerful evils— but for now, he's just a another meister student at the DWMA. Even as a student, however, Kid's far from ordinary, and his skills have made more than one classmate jealous. Kid is entirely obsessed with symmetry: from the clothes he wears to the missions he picks, symmetry drives Kid's life. If an enemy is perfectly symmetrical, it's no longer an enemy to Kid— even if it's trying to kill him. Relationship Status And it's unclear if Kid could even be attracted to his human classmates. Things and people must be pemy assrfectly symmetrical. Thus if anything is off by any measurement a picture frame off by millimeter, or a posexse that is slightly out of place , he will try to correct it right away, even at the expense of the mission at hand. His favorite number is 8, not only for its symmetry, but for the fact it divides out evenly. He is so obsessed with symmetry that Kid refuses to fight a battle unless he has both Patty and Liz together, as he would be asymmetrical holding just one.
